As I don’t want to slack in writing my blogposts (which I have been doing for two weeks) but do have to stay calm and rest a lot (I’ve been in the hospital twice these last two weeks, first time for a pneumonia and second time for a pulmonary embolism) I am going to write one where I talk about books I haven’t read yet but really want to! And of course why!

Just a blogpost where I’m getting all excited about what’s yet to come…

An Ember in The Ashes by Sabaa Tahir. This one has been on my TBR for so long. I own the Dutch version, have read the first few chapters, completely loved it and then for some reason let it gather dust on my shelves.

The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang. This is one of the books I’ve heard so many great things about. If I’m correct the third book has come out recently (don’t want to look it up in fear of spoilers) and the discourse surrounding this series has risen again along with my desire to start reading it.

The Daevabad series. Again this is booktwitters’ doing in making me very excited for this series. Again, I’ve read the excerpt, loved the writing style and can’t wait to read the whole book once it arrives at my local bookstore.

Crier’s War by Nina Varela. Did I just read forbidden love? Between two girls? Yes please!!! I had seen this book with its gorgeous cover going around and my fascination only spiked when reading the synopsis.

Wild Beauty by Anna-Marie McLemore. The year this book came out I remember wanting to read this and then lost sight of the book completely. Then after reading When The Moon Was Ours by Anna-Marie McLemore I decided to search her other books and practically screamed when I found this book again! I adored her writing style, the way her sentences flow and every description is more beautiful than the one before that, so needless to explain why I’m excited to read this book too.

Which books would you still love to read in 2020? Or are high in your TBR list?
